TFI and the tourism industry worked hard over the last few years to encourage legislators to pass the hotel/motel tax collection modification for anyone that stays in a hotel for longer than 30 days. It was a huge WIN for the industry when the 30-To-90 Day Hotel/Motel Tax Change took effect July 1, 2020.
Now it is up to the industry to help spread the message about the new law and help encourage compliance. Use this quick informational sheet to share the message with your local hoteliers and thank them for their partnership with promoting tourism for Iowa. The document is available here.
